LUT1 Finished!
Yeah me! I finished my 2nd term early, and had a month to spare. Talked to one of my school mentors and they said I had enough time to bang out LUT1. This was primarily a 5-7 minute video presentation with me in it. Including a visual aid(s) of my design. The beauty of this is that I could use my previous LAT1 class subject (Wolves) as the topic of my presentation.
I spent a little over 2 weeks on it and finsihed the first task last week. That included the outline and thesis statement along with a rough script and visual aids.I passed that, and all that was left was to make the presentation.I spent a couple days rehearsing the script and testing the visual aids. I thought it sounded pretty good.
With the help of Peggy and Josh operating the slide show, and cameras I put the presentation together last night. It was over 9 minutes! The quality of the lighting was not the best, even though we had floodlights, and overhead lights on. I also had a couple mis-steps in my presentation, even with the memory pegs hung up behind the camera. I ended up just winging it, and finished good.
I figured I would have to re-do the presentation and decided to send it to the graders and call it a night.
Much to my surprise, I was glad to see a message from the graders that it was sent back with just a minor correction. I had forgotten to send them the script. They complimented me on the opening scenes "engaging" and the presenation "knowledgeage and articulate". What a way to start my day! Needless to say I sent them the missing script and waited a couple hours to hear the final verdict.
Three hours later, I received an email LUT1 completed successfully! Two weeks to go until my 3rd term, and I am ahead of schedule. I can now relax and enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday and Black Friday with no pressure from school.
