Taking the SSC1 this Thursday

I decided to take the plunge. I pulled SSC1 from my next term to knock it out this term. Took the pre-assessment and scored a 58%. Not as high as I had hoped, but still passing. I am studying up on the weaknesses that the pre-assessment pointed out. Alot of stuff is covered in this class for Social Science; Geography, Climate, Class structure, Political Theory, Living in a Global Society, Ecosystems and Social Interaction, not to mention psychiatry! Some of it I learned last term in my science courses, some of it is common sense. Some of it I learned in History back in High school.
My term ends May 31st, so I need to pass this exam Thursday. I have another Social Science class, 2 math classes and a Networking class next term, so I do not want this one lingering over my head.
Keep your fingers crossed for me. Talk to you soon.
Stephen.

Little over 2 weeks left in the Term.

Looking at knocking out SST1 or SSC1, but they appear more complicated than I originally thought. My mentor said I could at least take the pre-assessment and see how I do. If I score high, I could schedule the assessment and at least pass that class. I think I will do that Sunday as there are 45 questions and 2 hours are allowed. Will use my standard procedure, print screen the questions and research the ones I don't know. Take it again and see how I do. If I do well, i'll schedule the assessment. I don't want to waste these weeks, even though it would be nice to just relax without worrying about any school work. My mentor said she would open up the resources for me, so I can at least start studying for my next classes. We will see how that goes. Next month starts my 4th term and the classes are not getting easier. I am looking at 2 social science classes, one math class, db class and netexam exam. Will have to get my butt in gear to knock these out. All the best to those reading these words. Stephen

WSV1 1D0-520 passed!

I am happy that class is finished. It was not pretty, but I passed. My test was scheduled for 9:00am and I was there on time. Unfortunately the computers were not ready as they had to be rebooted, the program downloaded and the authentication re-established. 20 minutes later I sit down to take the exam and as soon as I log in, error encountered test cannot continue pops up on the screen. The employee resets the computer, the exam and same error. He ends up working with tech-support from India for over two hours. This test was going to be stressful enough without having to worry if it was going to be rescheduled or not. 2 1/2 hours later the problem was finally resolved and the exam loaded with no errors. He asked me if I still wanted to take it, I assured him that I did not want to go through this again and jumped right in and started the test. About an hour and a half later I completed the last question out of 70. After about 15 seconds I was greeted with a "Congratulations you passed!" message.
After the I decided to treat myself to a Venti Starbucks and warmed up Apple fritter. It's the little things in life that are special.
I have 3 weeks left in my term, so I am debating whether to add another course from next term. Tonight I will just relax and see what tomorrow brings.
Wishing you all the best,
Stephen.

WSV1 EXAM SCHEDULED

Needless to say I am cramming like crazy. Spent the better part of the day Saturday at my favorite Starbucks. Drinking my favorite beverage and taking practice test after practice test. Reading and memorizing my weak points. Reading blogs on this test and hoping that I am one of the  fortunate to pass on the first attempt.
I sit the exam Tuesday, and have taken that day off from work. Only 3 weeks left till the end of the term, and I need this class out of the way.
Keep your fingers crossed for me!
All the best,
Stephen.
