To those of you who know me personally, you know I have always wanted a Dodge Diesel Dually 3500 truck. Preferably with a manual transmission, either Black or Dark Blue. I threw the request out to the Universe, and several days later I was prompted to check Craigslist to see what listings were there. Laura and Jen suggested that Trucks are cheaper in Orlando, so I searched that market first. Lo and behold there is was........a Black, 6 speed Dodge Dually Diesel truck! I drove up that following Saturday morning, (Peggy slept in) and arrived shortly after 9:00am and met up with James (Gibson Truck world salesman). Very courteous, helpful and knowledgeable about Trucks. We test drove it and I loved it! They test drove my Dodge Ram 1500 and liked it, but could not offer me the amount I wanted in trade. We went back and forth, and it came down to $3000.00 difference. I could have paid it, but I had a particular number in mind, that I did not want to go over. I even called Peggy and asked for her input. She suggested new tile floors throughout the house, would look better than the big Black Dodge Dually sitting in the driveway. As you may have guessed, I drove home in my truck.
I had not seen my son in a few weeks, so I dropped by his work to say hello. He looked good, the Police academy is a good fit for him. He really enjoys living in Orlando, and may stay after he graduates.
