Well I certainly enjoyed my two week break from school. New term started December 1st, and I plunged headlong into QLC1. Essentially Algebra on steroids, I am working through the modules; doing the homework and scoring 80% or better to advance to the next module. I took a pre-test on real numbers before I started to see where I was, and I scored a horrible 45%. Some of it was a refresher from last year's College Algebra course, and some of it is new stuff.
My mentor said it normally takes about 6 weeks to get through this course, I am sticking to my normal routine of doing the exercises, and grasping the basics enough to hopefully pass the test.
On a happier note, had a wonderful Thanksgiving! In-laws are in town, kids were there, my grand-daughter Adilyn was there. Surrounded by friends and family, it was a feast!
Turned on the Christmas lights and burnt out another socket of the Christmas music box. I am now down to 1 socket that runs the light show. I reckon I have to many lights!
Searched on EBAY and the price people are asking, is close to what a new one would cost. I guess I will have to wait until after Christmas to get a new "Lights and Sounds of Christmas".
Time to get back to studying my QLC1 at Starbucks!
