INT1

Well it looks like I will be able to use Wolves as part of my study subject in INT1. I have to create a power point presentation with a Scientific concept that has changed over the years. I also have to create one about a Scientific event that happened, and how it changed our thinking. For the first I will use how our concept of wolves has changed since the medieval times. The second I will use the Chernobyl disaster and what we learned from that. Only 5-6 slides on each, but I have to condense alot of information and provide references. Would love to knock this one out quickly, but the 3rd part may be even more challenging. I just glanced briefly at it, because I prefer to tackle the subject at hand, and not look to far forward. Works for me is all I can say.
Got 6 slides ready for the first task. Now to take on the Chernobyl disaster. What did we learn? It was caused by a combination of human error and faulty equipment. Russia tried to hide the initial expanse of the damage, and deceived the people around the area. What I found fascinating was that 25 years later, the eco-system recovered without man's assistance, and the wolf is the top-level predator over the entire area. The fact that wolves are there, means there is a healthy eco-system in place, or they would not be able to survive. The initial research seems interesting. Will keep you posted.
All the best,
Stephen.
